KRONEN GmbH has been achieving constant growth for many years. Despite challenging general conditions and a business environment with a number of economic difficulties, the family company was able to generate revenue of 21.0 million euros in the last business year, which represents revenue growth of 6% compared to the previous year. Last year KRONEN honored yet more long-standing employees and celebrated over 25 years of promoting and supporting in-house vocational training for young and upcoming talents.

In November 2024, the Kartause Ittingen Foundation put its new modern AS 6 apple peeling and slicing machine from KRONEN into operation. Using the AS 6 makes it much easier for the team to peel, core and cut the apples grown in its orchards. Over the winter, it is therefore able to process 16,000 kg of apples to produce the popular apple rings sold in the "Klosterladen” monastery shop.

At the start of the new year, KRONEN successfully completed modification and restructuring measures at its production site in Kehl-Goldscheuer, Germany. These measures have helped to secure optimized production processes and easier assembly of large lines, thus creating the ideal conditions for the company’s targeted growth over the coming years.

KRONEN recently presented its CAP 350 cabbage cutting machine and HEWA 4000 washing machine for fruit, vegetables and salad leaves to the public for the first time at the Fruit Logistica trade show. Visitors also made the most of the opportunity to experience the company's other new innovations and globally established stand-alone machines for processing fresh produce live and in person.

Two members of KRONEN’s Management Board, Rudolf Hans Zillgith and Stephan Zillgith, visited the facility in Sulzburg in person to hand over the company’s donation to the Head of the Children’s Village, Ulrike Ebbing.

Every year, KRONEN showcases new developments and innovations at its trade show booth. We also hold live demonstrations of well-established machines to showcase their fruit, vegetable and salad leaf processing functions. The KRONEN team has representatives all over the globe, all ready and waiting to provide optimal advice to visitors at international events. 

A total of 44 companies were recently awarded the title of “Hidden Champion” at the general meeting of the business network nectanet. They were chosen to receive the title based on a scientific study conducted by the Fachhochschule Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts. The “Hidden Champions” are selected on the basis of three criteria: the market position, revenue and recognition of the companies.

The company Alzarro Dönerworld GmbH is revolutionizing the doner kebab, enabling consumers to buy it from the refrigerated counter and bake it at home. At the beginning of 2024, the company put its new production facility in the German town of Korbußen into operation. When manufacturing its unique take-and-bake doner kebab, the company relies on KRONEN machines for the automated processing of its ingredients.

An optimized cut for thin or thick slices

The customer approves its new solution on-site at the KRONEN headquarters: The system meets the strictest kosher requirements and is designed to be used for the production of various salad mixes.
