Since 2017, the company Daily Food Co. based in Riyadh has been using a KRONEN processing line to process a wide variety of vegetables used as pizza toppings in its pizzerias located throughout Saudi Arabia.

MAESTRO Pizza, a Daily Food Co. brand, started out as a local pizzeria and has since developed into an impressive success story. Within the space of just a few years, it increased its number of stores to a total of 180 pizzerias nationwide in Saudi Arabia. This rapid growth was also reflected in the growing demand for fresh ingredients processed to achieve high-quality results.

To meet this demand, Daily Food Co. has been relying on a processing line from KRONEN since 2017. The line is in operation seven days a week and processes a multitude of vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers and onions to be used as pizza toppings. The processing line comprises a GS 10-2 belt cutting machine, a GEWA 3800V PLUS washing machine with an insect discharge, a K-50-7 lettuce and vegetable spin-dryer, various conveyor belts and a FLEX M packaging machine from the KRONEN partner GKS. It processes up to 1,500 kg per day.

After the company moved into its new production facility in Riyadh in 2021, Jean-Marc Hammann, who has been responsible for KRONEN’s partnership with Daily Food Co. right from the start in his role as Export Area Manager, was able to visit the facility in person and gained an insight into the company’s state-of-the-art production activities. David Balcells Pujol, Head of Production at Daily Food Co., emphasizes the advantages of the line: “Due to the huge success of the MAESTRO Pizza brand, the processing line is in operation for 12 hours every day to supply the large number of pizzerias with the sliced vegetable products they need. Even after six years, the line is still in outstanding condition and proves just how much high-quality machines, regular maintenance, and professional operation can achieve.”
