An optimized cut for thin or thick slices

The newly developed faceted knife for the GS 10-2 belt cutting machine enables users to cut fruit or vegetables into slices with optimal cutting quality. 

The faceted knife is the latest accessory to join the comprehensive range of cutting disks available for the well-established GS 10-2 belt cutting machine. The knives of the cutting machine, which can be used for a wide variety of tasks, are quick and easy to change, thus enabling the machine to be ideally adapted to process all kinds of products with different cutting results. 

Paper-thin and thicker slices: from 1 mm to 20 mm 

With the faceted knife, which is specially adapted for cutting slices, users can cut vegetables such as carrots, eggplant/aubergines, cucumbers, leeks or celery; fruit such as oranges and lemons; and even bread into slices of various thicknesses, from paper-thin slices measuring just 1 mm to slices up to 20 mm thick.  The knife also enables the GS 10-2 to achieve excellent cutting quality and efficient processing when slicing herbs such as chives or parsley. 

A perfect cut and easy sharpening

With its optimized setting angle and specially adapted blade, the faceted knife is able to cut a perfect, consistent slice. What’s more, it makes maintenance particularly easy because it can be sharpened with a regular grinding machine. This also helps it achieve a constantly high-quality cutting result at all times. 

KRONEN’s professional expertise in processing and manufacturing blades and knives formed the perfect basis for the development of the idea, the production of the prototype and the tests on and resulting optimizations of the new knife, all of which took place in-house. As a result, we can offer optimal accessories to meet the needs of our customers.
